Loving God and loving our neighbor

If we want an authority on what is most important in our lives, Jesus fits the bill perfectly. And when Jesus was asked about the greatest commandment he wanted us to know that loving the one true God with all that we have is above all.

But Jesus – though not prompted – added another: “The second is this, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:31).”

At Sav-A-Life of Dale County, we’re always looking for neighbors to love. Our neighbor is a young woman, scared and afraid of an unplanned pregnancy. Or, our neighbor is a boyfriend, looking for answers and hope. And our neighbor might be a family not knowing where to turn. And, of course, our neighbor is a preborn child, silently waiting for one person to say, “I’m here for you.”

If you are looking for a home for your next charitable gift – considering a monthly gift of $10 or $20 or a one time annual gift – won’t you consider Sav-A-Life of Dale County.

Here, our desire is to keep the greatest commandment and love God with all that we have, and to show that love to our neighbors . . . every person who enters our door, both born and preborn.
